Introducing Our NEW Yoga Studio!

Introducing Our NEW Yoga Studio!

Are You Ready for Vital Touch Yoga? Are you an experienced yogi? A curious beginner? Have you practiced in the past and feel eager to get back into a yoga routine? Mark your calendars! We are super excited to be opening our brand new, beautiful yoga studio on October 18th. What’s especially cool about our new venture is that we’ll be offering a diverse range of yoga classes perfect for all levels and bodies. So whether you are a complete yoga newbie, or a seasoned practitioner, we’re confident you’ll find classes that fit your style. Many of you are just as excited as we are about our soon-to-be-open yoga studio! We’re hearing a lot of great questions: What kinds of classes will we offer? Who is teaching? When will classes be taught? Well, we have answers! See below. Our yoga offerings are going to be a powerful expansion of our mission to nurture healing and transformation in each of our clients. A regular yoga practice can give rise to profound changes within our bodies, minds, and spirits. How could practicing yoga impact you? Feel calmer and more focused in your mind. Lower blood pressure and decrease stress hormones. Experience looser muscles and ease of motion in your joints. Get stronger and improve your balance. Uplift your mood and soothe anxiety and worry. Experience less aches and pains in your body. Improve your posture and protect your spine, bones, and joints. * What is the class schedule? We will be offering a variety of classes to suit your schedule and your ability. There will be classes in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends. We’ll be announcing the final schedule in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned! What classes are you offering? There are many styles of yoga that vary in intensity and intention. Some styles are about challenging yourself, others are about letting go and finding ease. Some styles have students moving through many postures, others are slower paced. Some approaches put emphasis on our breathing. Others may focus on body awareness. Our goal is to offer you a range of classes to choose from depending on your mood, ability, energy level, and what you want to get out of your practice. We think you’ll be excited about the styles our new teachers will be leading! Synergy Yoga: In this class, you’ll be led through a set of poses to strengthen, stretch, and align your body from head to toe. Your instructor will pay particular attention to your body’s alignment, offering gentle cues to adjust your posture. At moderate intensity, this class is suitable for beginners as well as experienced yogis. You’ll leave feeling centered, lighter, and more limber. Vinyatha Yoga: Designed to challenge your body and mind, this class combines “vinyasa” with “hatha” style yoga. You’ll warm up your body with a series of postures linked to your breathing so you move from one pose to another, seamlessly flowing with your breath. Key poses will be slowed down to focus on alignment, mindfulness, and building energy in the body. This class will offer moderate to challenging intensity and is suitable for all levels. You’ll leave feeling energized, stronger, and with a deeper connection between your body and mind. Gentle Yoga: Just like its name implies, this class has...

Sunflower Festival & Yoga

Sunflower Festival & Yoga

Our Sunflower Festival was a beautiful success! Thanks to everybody who joined us, we raised over one thousand dollars for the Believe & Achieve Foundation. More than 40 yogis came out for our inaugural yoga event in the lovely Gunther Sunflower Field just next door to our studio. We want to extend a great big thank you to all the students and to all the folks who generously donated for chair massages. We’re especially grateful to our amazing new yoga teachers Lisa McBride and Jessica Bertoncini who led powerfully peaceful classes next to the big flowers, plus our hard-working massage therapists Krista and Preva who massaged away tension in tight necks, shoulders, and backs for 4 hours. It was a gorgeous day and so gratifying to connect with the community this way. Thank you!!! Safety Guidelines

Safety Guidelines

We are thrilled to see the community opening up and coming back to life!  As regulations have lifted, we are back to being open at full capacity. We are open seven days a week, offering all in-studio services. Your health and well-being, as well as that of our staff and entire community, is extremely important to us. Even as some regulations have loosened, we continue to monitor the shifting tides of the pandemic and follow guidelines recommended for healthcare facilities. We are continuing to take precautions to protect both our clients and our staff, so that you can fully relax and get the most out of your massage.  To schedule a visit, call our office at 484.341.8411 or book your appointment online. Once you scheduled, keep in mind that there have been a few changes in how we see clients: What We Ask of You Our updated protocols for clients include the following: Masks are required for all clients regardless of vaccination status. If you don’t have a mask, tell your therapist and they will provide one for you. If you have concerns about wearing the mask while your face is in the face cradle, we have other PPE options available. All staff will continue to wear masks whether they are vaccinated or not. Before your therapist treats you, they will go over a symptom checklist. If you have any symptoms that could indicate coronavirus, you will be asked to reschedule. If you have any signs of illness before your appointment, such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, loss of your sense of taste or smell, nausea, or fatigue, please call to cancel your appointment. You will not be charged for cancelling. What We’re Doing Our updated office procedures include the following: We schedule an extra half hour between appointments to thoroughly clean and disinfect the treatment room, face cradle, and massage table, as well as all high-touch surfaces in the bathroom and waiting room. We’re wearing masks at all times. Each room has been outfitted with a certified HEPA air filter, and when possible, windows will be open to increase ventilation. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as regulations continue to evolve. Even though some of our guidelines may feel inconvenient, know that we are taking such precautions to ensure the optimal safety of our staff and clients. We firmly believe that following simple safety measures will help mimimize the spread in our community so that we, and all the businesses in the area, can remain open to the public. See you soon!  ...

COVID-19 STUDIO UPDATE

COVID-19 STUDIO UPDATE

The health and well-being of our clients and staff is tremendously important to us. In our community efforts to flatten the curve of this unprecedented virus, we are closing our studio until further notice. We encourage you all to join us in practicing safe social distancing. The sooner we all get on board with this as a community, the faster we can get through this. Not being able to provide services in person isn’t stopping us from continuing our mission to inspire and empower you to take the very best care of yourself. We have just launched our first (free!) Guided Relaxation Video Series hosted by the talented members of our massage and somatic therapy staff and designed to relieve the heightened stress and tension that you may be feeling. Also, very soon we’ll be offering brand new online services like remote consultations and counseling. Taking time each day to consciously relax and rest is more important than ever. When your stress response is over activated, you feel anxious, your muscles get tense, and your connections with the people around you can become strained. An over stressed nervous system can lead to depletion and suppressed immunity. Actively toning your body’s relaxation response with deep breathing, stretching, meditating, etc., can calm anxiety and restore immunity. We know and appreciate how much our clients look to us to provide support and healing in a stressful world. We will continue to be there for you in any way that we can during this challenging time. As a small business in the service industry, we hope that our community understands our current needs as well. We are doing everything we can to provide some financial stability to our staff during this unstable time. While our Guided Relaxation Videos will remain free, your purchase of our future remote offerings will support our therapists who are independent contractors who may not be eligible for unemployment benefits. You can also support your favorite therapist directly by clicking here to access our “virtual tip jar.” After selecting the therapist you’d like to donate to, enter the amount you’d like to donate in the “quantity” box. We know this time has been challenging for everybody in different ways. We are holding the truth that the intent of this forced isolation is to protect our community as a whole, and as a community, supporting each other, we can get through it. We very much look forward to the day when we open our doors again! In the meantime we encourage you to do what you can to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe, healthy, and...

6th Annual 5-5 Holiday Drive to Benefit the DVCCC

6th Annual 5-5 Holiday Drive to Benefit the DVCCC

We’re very excited to be running our 6th Annual Holiday Drive for the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County.  For many of us, the holidays can be a time of joy and celebration.  But for victims of domestic violence, a helping hand can be a lifeline. For every gift certificate we sell between now and December 25th, Vital Touch Wellness will be donating 5 percent of sales and 5 minutes of massage to the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County (DVCCC).  Last year we raised over $800, six bins of much-needed supplies, and over 12 hours of massage for the hardworking staff of this amazing local organization. The work that the DVCCC does for our community is tremendously important.  According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, one in three women and one in four men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by a partner in the U.S. The physical and emotional effects of trauma can last a lifetime. Domestic victimization is correlated with higher rates of depression, suicide and chronic illness, and between 21 and 60 percent of victims of intimate partner violence lose their jobs due to reasons stemming from the abuse. For these reasons and more, this tragedy that happens behind closed doors has effects on the entire community. The DVCCC is doing the essential work of supporting victims of abuse and also proactively runs programs to educate Chester County residents about the symptoms and effects of partner abuse.  Their services include a 24-hour emergency hotline, adult counseling, legal services, children’s services, educational programming, housing, and connections to area resources.  All of these services are provided for free. In fact, the DVCCC is the only state-recognized agency in Chester County that provides free, comprehensive counseling and legal options to clients.  Local victims and their children receive the support and protection they need so that they can heal and become independent. “The DVCCC is an amazing organization,” says Vital Touch Wellness owner, Jen McLamb. For the last five years, Vital Touch Wellness has been giving chair massages to the staff and volunteers there.  Jen has been so moved by the work they do that she wanted to do more for the people that they serve.  “One thing that especially impresses me about the DVCCC is their dedication to outreach and education,” Jen explains. “Domestic violence and child abuse is something a lot of people don’t want to talk about.  But it’s happening much more than we realize, and that’s devastating. The more people learn about this problem, the more that can be done to stop it.” Increasing awareness, Jen says, is another big part of the 5-5 Holiday Drive. “Because another important fact I learned from the DVCCC is that the effects of domestic violence reach far beyond the home.  It impacts our schools, businesses and our whole community.” To help this amazing and essential local organization, we’re contributing 5 percent of all gift certificate sales to the DVCCC.   We’ll also be donating chair massage to their compassionate and hardworking staff, at 5 minutes for each gift certificate sold.  You can purchase a gift certificate by calling us at 484.341.8411 or buy them online. You can also contribute to the DVCCC directly...
