Singing Bowl Soundbath & Restorative Yoga w/ Mary Kate McGetrick
Sunday, Sept. 24 , 3:00 – 4:30

Renew your body, mind and spirit with sacred sound and restorative yoga. Yoga teacher and professional singer Mary Kate McGetrick returns for the advent of fall as she leads you through a sound healing journey with guided meditation and restorative yoga poses. Accompanied by the ethereal tones of quartz crystal bowls and sacred chanting, Mary Kate will help you to deeply relax and restore as fall unfolds.

The fall season starts with the Autumn Equinox, a turning point that marks the beginning of longer nights and shorter days. It’s the perfect time to pause in the transition from the active energy of summer to the reflective energy of our cooler, darker seasons. Take time to slow down, rest and connect to yourself as you soak in the healing sounds.

Absolutely no yoga experience required. Restorative yoga is extremely gentle, passive and appropriate for all bodies.

What are singing bowls?

Singing bowls are metal or crystal bowls that create clear, ethereal tones by striking and circling them with a mallet. It is believed that the vibration created by these tones can soothe the mind and relax the body.

Mary Kate McGetrick is a Yoga Teacher with 500 hours of training as well as a professional musician and singer. She has performed at venues throughout the area. Mary Kate’s mission as a teacher is to help serve and inspire others to awaken in their own process of self-discovery.
