In this class designed for beginners, you can ask questions, get real-time feedback, and learn from an experienced teacher. Join Mary Kate McGetrick as she guides you through starting your own meditation practice.
In this class you will
  • Build a basic foundation of mindfulness meditation.
  • Develop a kinder relationship with yourself as you learn how to compassionately observe your thoughts and feelings.
  • Discover your inner witness.
  • Explore techniques for practicing mindfulness during meditation and in everyday life.
  • Enjoy plenty of time to get curious and ask questions.
Your teacher will begin each class discussing the how-tos of meditation and its benefits. Then she’ll guide you through trying it for yourself. Each week Mary Kate will introduce a different form of mindfulness meditation, such as focusing on your breath, walking meditation, and loving-kindness meditation.  Every class will include plenty of time for questions and discussion.

At the end of four weeks, you’ll be more confident and inspired to continue enjoying the benefits of meditation with your own practice at home!

Your four weeks will include:

• Four weekly one-hour classes open only to Beginners Meditation participants
• Support from your teacher in between classes, including handouts and links to more information.
