Jen McLamb is the founder and director of Vital Touch Wellness. She is a board certified holistic health and nutrition counselor, as well as a nationally certified massage therapist. After three years of switching majors at Penn State University, Jen feels lucky to have discovered massage while taking a leave of absence. She never went back. Studying at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in 1996 opened her eyes to the world of alternative health, and Jen has been practicing massage and honing her techniques for 15 years. A simmering interest in nutrition came to a full boil when Jen enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. Jen graduated from their training program in 2006 and their post graduate program in 2007, and is fully qualified to counsel clients in all areas of their health. For more information about this incredible school, visit www.integrativenutrition.com. Jen has also studied dance, yoga, and music since her youth, and includes stretching, movement, and many other stress-relieving techniques into her practice. She lives in Narvon, Pennsylvania, where she enjoys gardening, cooking and hiking and camping with her husband and two dogs. Both of her dogs enjoy getting massages but have not yet learned how to reciprocate. |
